Early life and education
Samantha was raised in San Diego by her parents who were a middle-class family, her mother was a housewife while her father was a factory worker.
She grew up wanting to become a model and an actress, and after she matriculated from high school, she began taking acting classes and simultaneously worked two jobs so that she could support herself.
Career as an actress
Samantha launched her acting career in 1974 at the age of 22, but only played several uncredited roles before she appeared in a single episode of the “Bosom Buddies” comedy TV series in 1981.
