Had a great time presenting at #educause2023 with Alexander Savoth. I would love to share some key findings about the #Gradescope Late Submission Project listed in the Poster Presentation. In this project, we were able to grab late submission time from Gradescope courses and upload them to Canvas on the students' behalf, allowing us to harness the Canvas Late policy feature to automatically apply penalties to students' late submissions. This is an extension of research based on an MIT Paper's findings about Gradescope Authentications and APIs - https://lnkd.in/gjdXjeTs.1. Gradescope Authentication: With some help from Ira Winston, we found a much easier way to authenticate Gradescope via the token in your browser cookies. When the correct parameters are used, the token will never expire.2. Download Gradebook and load them to a Dataframe:GET /courses/{course #}/gradebook.csv3. Push Assignment Grades to Canvas:POST /courses/{course #}/assignments/{assignment #}/integrations/canvas/grades4. Sync Roster with Canvas:POST /courses/{course #}/canvas/update_rosterFor the GitHub code and Poster, visit: https://lnkd.in/gJjnK8Ri
