Edward A. Gorsuch, 63, Former Bakery Manager Weston, A. Gorsuch, 63, a former resident of Garden City and Valley Stream and manager of the Dugan Brother's Bakery branch in Long Island City for 23 years, was to be buried today in Oakland Cemetery in Fairfield. Gorsuch, who had lived in Weston since 1961, died in Norwalk Hospital Sunday after suffering a heart attack at his home. Born in Flushing, he lived in Valley Stream for five years before moving to Garden City, where he lived with his family for seven years.

A past president of the Westport Lions Club, Gorsuch was in semi-retirement after Dugan's went out of business about 10 years ago, although he continued to work as a consultant to bakery firms. He is survived by his wife, Mae; three daughters, Mary Kenter of Riverhead, Barbara Yasinski of Oxford, and Lynn Kussner of Weston, and three sons, Edward Jr. of Palos Verdes Estates, Dennis of Schenectady and Lawrence of Torrance, Calif. Burial was to follow mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Weston.

Arthur Roy Mitchell, Artist Denver -Arthur Roy Mitchell, the Western artist who designed Colorado's centennial emblem, died of heart failure yesterday. He was 86. A Colorado native, he hired on as a ranch hand in the New Mexico Territory in 1907 for $30 a month. By his late teens, he had begun experimenting with pen and ink drawings and later drew political cartoons for newspapers. In 1944, he returned to Trinidad, the land he said he loved.

In 1959, he was commissioned to design the "Rush to the Rockies" emblem to commemorate the 1859 Colorado gold rush. He was active in newspaper union activities and was an organizer for the American Newspaper Guild. He was one of the five original organizers of the Wire Service Guild. Born in Denver in 1910, he graduated cum laude from the University of Colorado journalism school. He was a Capitol Hill resident for 17 years and was editor of the Capitol Hill News for many years. He was an active member of St.

Mark's Episcopal Church on Capitol Hill and a member of the National Press Club, the Democratic Club, the professional journalism society Sigma Delta Chi, the Capitol Hill Restoration Society and the Colorado State Society. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and a son, Robert, both of Washington; and a brother, Emmett, of Phoenix, Ariz.
